Wastewater Operation Education

Robin Deal & Jeremy Morgan of Hubbard Hall

Often metal finishing plant employees such as Maintenance Managers or those with similar skills are placed in charge of Wastewater Treatment Plant operation because of these unique skills. Our presenters will show how proper WWT education will not only benefit the operator, but also ensure compliance, efficiency, and environmental stewardship.

Pending Stormwater Multi-Sector General Permit

Brian Morrill of GZA GeoEnvironmental

Brian will be talking about the proposed modifications to the new Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional (CII) General Permit, and changes proposed for the Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP). It is estimated that, with the new revisions, as many as 3000 properties that were exempt from stormwater permitting requirements will now be included. These changes could include mandating quarterly PFAS monitoring in run off from metal finishers properties.
